Education is the first step in empowering individuals to improve the world. This is especially true of higher education geared at providing skills for the modern man and woman.
However, many eligible youths are unable to achieve their dreams of higher education due to the financial constraints of their parents or guardians. It is even more troubling in the case of self-sponsoring students.
Hence, the College Relief Fund Scholarship Program, determined to support the education sector and thus assist parents, guardians and students, has opened an application portal to support South Africans for the first time since beginning operations on the African continent.
Our donors recognize that many individuals do not have the financial means to pay for college.
As a result, the scholarship program was established to support African youths’ dreams and aspirations.
The scholarship was established in 2019 and has since assisted thousands of undergraduate students who have applied for funding for their tertiary education since 2020.
Since its inception, the total scholarship value awarded to successful candidates has exceeded $95,000, spread over two years and disbursed in tranches of up to $1000 per student.
The program which first commenced in Nigeria is now expanding to three more African countries in the year 2023, including South Africa, Kenya and Uganda.
The educational initiative designed to assist hard-working students is now accepting new applications for the 2023 Batch “A”.
Students aspiring to study at University, College, or TVET may not have to worry about school fees if they are successful under this initiative.
This is a breath of fresh air for South African youths in need of educational funding assistance.
It will undoubtedly relieve students, parents, and guardians who face financial difficulties but want to pursue tertiary education.
